Pharmaceutical Delivery Robot
Recently, the self‑developed in‑hospital medication‑delivery robot by Ezhan has begun trial operation in hospital scenarios. As an intelligent mobile delivery device, it effectively solves transportation challenges for medicines, lab specimens and medical supplies between hospital pharmacies and ward areas. Delivering an unmanned, high‑efficiency and highly‑secure logistics solution, it boosts the digital upgrade of hospital back‑office logistics.
Traditional in‑hospital medication delivery mostly relies on manually‑operated transport trolleys. It occupies plenty of precious working hours of medical staff. During peak hours, delayed deliveries, medication mis‑pick‑ups and cross‑infection risks may easily occur. Tailor‑made for complex indoor hospital environments, the Ezhan medication‑delivery AMR robot perfectly addresses these pain points.
Featuring four independently‑controlled sealed storage compartments, the robot enables classified medicine storage. Physically‑separated cabins keep medicines for different wards or categories apart to avoid mix‑ups. A touch‑screen monitor mounted on the top allows staff to assign delivery tasks and track real‑time transport status. Its autonomous‑navigation chassis is equipped with LiDAR and multiple obstacle‑avoidance sensors. No pre‑laid tracks are required. The robot can self‑navigate through corridors, elevators and nurse stations, dynamically bypass pedestrians and barriers, and run round‑the‑clock automatic shuttle deliveries.
"Medical workers no longer need to travel frequently to pharmacies. They can devote more energy to patient‑centered care," said the project lead. The robot undertakes closed‑loop transport tasks for oral drugs, injections, lab specimens and medical consumables. Full‑traceable delivery routes and automatically‑saved transport records greatly improve safety during medication transit. Sealed cabins also reduce contamination risks for transported supplies.

In terms of intelligent management, the robot can seamlessly connect with the hospital scheduling system, support multi‑robot collaborative operation, call elevators autonomously and complete cross‑floor deliveries. Its cloud‑based visual management platform monitors robot locations, task progress and cabin‑door status in real‑time. Automatic feedback is triggered once tasks are finished, forming a complete, transparent and highly‑efficient in‑hospital material‑delivery workflow.
As a key component of smart‑hospital construction, unmanned indoor delivery helps free medical staff from heavy logistics work and advances refined hospital management. Moving forward, Ezhan will continue to deepen research on medical‑logistics robots, optimize product performance iteratively, and develop more intelligent transport solutions for hospitals, laboratories and disease‑control centers. With cutting‑edge technology, we contribute to the high‑quality development of healthcare services.
