Recently, a fleet of Ezhan intelligent medical delivery robots has been officially delivered and deployed at Zhangjiajie People's Hospital. These robots will be put into automatic transportation of medicines, consumables, specimens and medical supplies within the hospital. By leveraging technology to reduce manual workload, they drive the digital upgrade of hospital logistics.

In traditional hospital operations, medicines, lab specimens and medical consumables rely heavily on manual trolley transportation. This takes up plenty of working hours of medical staff, and brings challenges including unstable delivery timelines, risks of cross‑contact and high labor costs. Frequent transfers among pharmacy, inpatient wards and laboratories create repetitive errands that drain energy from clinical care.
The Ezhan medical delivery robots deployed this time are custom‑built for complex hospital indoor environments. Equipped with AMR autonomous navigation chassis, the robots travel flexibly through ward corridors, elevators and pharmacy areas. They avoid obstacles automatically and call elevators on their own to achieve cross‑floor fully‑autonomous delivery. Multiple sealed storage compartments safely store medicines, specimens and medical supplies during transit. With user‑friendly interactive interfaces, medical workers can assign delivery tasks with simple operations. The robots complete point‑to‑point transportation and send arrival alerts, greatly cutting down manual errands.

Supported by self‑charging docking stations, the robots can return to charge autonomously for 7×24‑hour continuous operation, matching the round‑the‑clock demands of medical institutions. After batch deployment, multiple robots work collaboratively as an in‑hospital unmanned logistics fleet. Medical personnel are freed from repetitive material handling and can focus more on patient treatment.
As a core general hospital in the region, Zhangjiajie People's Hospital adopts these batch‑deployed delivery robots as a key step toward building a smart hospital. Unmanned intra‑hospital logistics optimizes the circulation of medicines and specimens, shortens waiting time for supplies, lowers cross‑contact risks and improves overall operational efficiency, delivering better medical service experience for patients.
Ezhan focuses on indoor mobile robots and has rich experience in customized hospital‑oriented projects to fit different hospital scales and transportation requirements. This project marks another benchmark case for medical delivery robots in northwest Hunan. Moving forward, Ezhan will keep optimizing robots for healthcare scenarios, delivering reliable, high‑performance total smart logistics solutions for medical institutions and boosting the development of smart healthcare.
